Rail-fan Pictures at Bartlett Station

After the demise of the second Bartlett Station in the 1950s the Maine Central put a small platform and a waiting room on the end of a diesel engine shed and called it Bartlett Station. This station therefore shows the thinking of the Maine Central RR officials that passenger business was loosing them so much money that they could not economize it enough and must remove it altogether. It took a while for the Surface Transportation Board to agree.
